Social media has changed society……

The world is changing and it is changing at a very intense pace. Nobody these days can say that our society of today’s world is the same as it was 20 years ago. Not that long time ago we could’ve said that technology changes our society, but now the society is demanding a change in technology. Social Media created new ways of communication, entertainment, advertising, education, etc.  The best way to define social media is to break it down. Media is an instrument on communication, like a newspaper or a radio, so social media would be a social instrument of communication. In the past few years, social media websites have become more popular, giving young people a new way to interact with each other and communicate with the world. This new form of communication depends on user-created content, not mass produced messages coming from large media companies. But as with other media before it, social media's rise to prominence has experienced some very serious growing pains.  Social media like Face book, Twitter, Orkut, MySpace, Yahoo, Google+, Skype, Watsup aps, viber, and vice versa sites have changed our expectations of the web, as well as society.
The oldest and most powerful form of mass media is the word, both written and spoken; from priests to traveling storytellers, the word has held credibility. A new platform, social media, has taken the power of the word to new levels, transforming companies, society communication. Platforms such as Twitter and Face book are medium for dialogues between many to many, held in a very visible format. The borders of countries and states have dissolved to the credit of the Internet and social media. Through Face book and Twitter, among others, companies are able to fabricate and build virtual personalities. Through history as the communication platforms evolved the method of communicating also had to adapt. Just as the telephone made distance relative, social media has made cultures and social relative. Communication is visible to the world population through MySpace, Twitter, Face book, Second life, and many others.
Social Networking enables us to communicate with anyone and anywhere. People of all ages, races and classes, which have access to new media technology, are empowered to communicate with anyone they want. This instant and low cost communication also changed our society by simply making it global. Teenagers and children spend enormous amount of time on Internet, they learn a lot by communicating with others and at the same time miss out on real life communication. There is simply no need of real life interaction, since all of that is moved online. Social Media have changed distribution of information and coordination and it certainly does make our lives better with faster, cheaper and easier technology, but does it make our lives safer. The main issue that concerns everyone or at least most of new media users is the privacy issue. With all the information which we provide on the web site it is hard to protect yourself from that information being used by someone else.
The spreading of an idea, or of news occurring somewhere in the world can no longer be completely blocked by any organization. As long as one person is able to connect to the internet and express their view about a situation or simply about an idea, then the information that individual will want to share, will get out into the world. Remember, last year during the Iranian elections when there were (and to some extent still are) people disagreeing with the “official” election outcome, the Iranian government attempted to control the communication and the images of what was occurring in Iran from getting out. They were never able to control all the information and images that were being seen by the world in ‘real-time’. Sites such as Face book, Twitter, YouTube and Friend Feed allow people to share ideas on not just news, but also on products and services. Products and Services that before social media, many people would not have even heard about them, let alone request or want the service.
Needless to say, social media has forever changed the way society works, whether it’s the sharing of an idea, the communication of news, or the availability of a product or service. Society today is on the verge of a new way of existing that it’s never experienced before. No longer will people from one side of the world be really able to say that they will never see a person or communicate with someone from the other side of the world ever in their life. No longer will people not be able to share an idea, if they really want to share it (no matter how radical it may be or no matter how many people may disagree with it). No longer will the spreading of information or the expressing of an opinion be able to be completely silenced. As long as there is a person who wishes to express their opinion, share their music or art, or simply say hello to another human being in another country or culture, social media will allow them to do so.

Reality show or Controversial show

Reality shows as we know today is favorite genre of all Television producers. On one hand they generate good revenues for Television Industry and on the other hand they create a very good platform for thousands of Indian youngsters who want to achieve great things in their field of interests. Be it Dancing, Singing, doing Comedy, modeling or other talent (India’s Got talent of Colors Channel), reality shows do give a hope to the parents of young children that there is more to life than being a Doctor or an Engineer.
India has been grooming a lot of reality TV shows recently and most of them have been controversial to some extend with certain scenes and episodes abusing the traditional and cultural values of the country. There are different viewpoints from people belonging to different walks of life and the impact of reality shows is paving its way today. The reality shows debate being held through different mediums has found more criticism against such crude shows on many national television channels. The strongest question that is blooming in the air against these is that should reality shows be banned?
The responsible body for all these controversies giving rise to some sort of disturb in some society is the government itself. Numbers of reality shows are being streamed on Indian televisions and the government should have set better laws curbing expression of many sensitive issues that are being shown. It is known by the people that all these shows are crazily being produced just for the sake of TRPs and huge sum of money they earn. If the government is not able to take care of these issues that is causing bad influence in the society, it can be assured that the government is corrupt. There are lots of local organizations and groups pointing the vulgarity and insanity of these shows.
Recently, one of the popular reality shows called MTV Roadies portrayed two male participants nude on international TV in Brazil on the name of task! This is an insane behavior to a society where traditional and cultural norms are highly respected. They have neither cared about the social disturbance it would cause nor about the effects of reality shows on children. The truth of reality shows in television in India is that they care only about the money they could earn. An article on reality shows has described the fact behind how the actor or the real performer would face their real life. They have bear high risk of falling into mental disorders, depression and regret too because these tasks take place in just an instant in a flick of minute on TV but they face consequences throughout their life. Still the producer of the show says that they have helped the actors overcome the biggest fears in their life! The truth of mtv reality show is that they have not taken good care of all such possibilities in front of money. As a matter of fact, one can argue that these private channels are not in the business of promoting culture, but are for making money. But star plus roping in Akshay Kumar for its Master Chef, a cooking reality show, foreign actors coming in the Bigg Boss’s house and justice being given by a controversial woman in Rakhi ka Insaaf serve an example of the fact that only SEX AND FEAR SELLS and the entertainment media find this as the right business model.
It is outright WRONG to call these reality shows a culture destroyer. But what pains me the most is the Reality Show coverage In the Parliament. This is the height of stupidity. Aren’t there more critical issues at hand then discussing whether the Government should ban show like “Sach ka Samna” etc.? India has serious problems with poverty, economy and infrastructure to name a few. And these are the areas we need the government to act.  I don’t mean that censorship of such shows is not a critical issue. But if that’s the case, why is the government singling out the reality shows? It should then ban all ‘Saas-Bahu’ epidemics that are being thrown at the viewer along with lot of other trash which from a moral perspective are bad influences.
If TV is the greatest invention of our generation then REMOTE is even greater invention since TV. People ought to use it at will. If you don't like it change it or shut it. The average Indian TV viewer is smart enough to distinguish between what is harmless entertainment and what to take out of it. Culture for many is very much individualistic and personal and they feel that if the reality shows are gaining grounds which sells sex, then these too are being slowly accepted by the culture. I understand that not all the viewers are smart enough to differentiate between what’s wrong and right. That is where parental guidance should kick in. Many shows have a parental advisory before them and some also cater to a minimum age requirement. The censor board has shifted the timings of such shows from the prime time to a late night telecast keeping in view the mind of teenagers.

Why these serials are like this???

“Kahani ghar ghar kii” to “kuch toh log kahenge” before and after in between of these serials, many had come and go, some are still there. Every new channel there is many new serials. Daily soap playing important role in changing the life style, way of thinking of a society. Daily soap is watched by almost every one in every house. For some people watching daily soap is time pass but over innocent Indian women daily soap is a daily need. If she will not watch every serial then her day will not pass. She will think whole day about this stupid serials and discuss this about their friends. Some women are mad for the daily soap.
Serials are imaginary stories. But some time they show very important issue that some part of India there is problem going on. Like child marriage to aware about it the show came “Balika vadhu”, for not killing baby girl there was a serial called “Na ana is desh main lado”. Viewers of the serials they see and think what serial want audience to think. Viewer follow serial and do whatever his/her favorite character do on real or reel life. If suppose Akshara of “Yeh rista kya khelata h” will start wearing western outfit instead of sarees and heavy jewelry then a ‘bahu’ of a middle class who follows strict tradition in there house then she will also start wearing western outfit. Also serial has change the tradition of applying sindoor in partition of head into applying a maroon lipstick instead of kumkum in forehead.
Daily soap tells to girl women to adjust yourself in every situation if everybody is telling that you are wrong then you should be adjust yourself if you are right also. If serials can change the lifestyle of people then why they are not changing the mindset of people. Serials like “Humse hai life”, “Saubhagyabati bhava?”, “Uttaran”, “Har jeet”, “Diya aur Bati”, these all story started with some good story that a girl or women face problem in life or there dream and passion to complete it, but after few episode it change differently or say, it become same as all gisha pita story like a old common love story, marriage, adjustment in life with all, saas bahu fight and all silly crap. In serial “Diya aur Bati” a girl wanted to be an IAS officer but some thing happen and she married to uneducated and a small sweet shop owner boy and now serial is showing she is adjusting with the boy and there family forgetting her dreams of IAS officer.
Now a day’s eve teasing case is increasing. Some people think it happen because girl is wearing a short dress and this mentality of people is created by daily soap. Every serial show that a girl goes out with short skirt then some boys whistle and pass comment on girl. Daily soap are showing problem or some time it create problem but they are not giving solution to the problem. They are not telling people what to do in the problem not to adjust them self and they are not telling old people that this is not case in actual. What actual happens out side world that daily soap maker not show it. Serial can be educated to those who are illiterate or who is narrow minded. Serial should not misguide to there audience. Serial maker should start thinking and working on new topic, new ideas and its presentation. Serial should be like however it is imaginary it should look like realistic and audience learn and change the mindset of people.

Censoring sites? Not a good idea Sirji….

Internet is one of the important things used by almost everyone in the world. Internet helped the people to express there view and frustration about anything on blog, social media, etc. recently, US Government has declared that Wikipedia should be closed for one day and on Wednesday it was shut down 24hrs. It was happened for privacy control for Wikipedia. Before this incident Kapil Sibal from India has also claim to have to restrict the content.
If every thing will be restricted from internet, then people will not be able to express the views. It is not that time were we do lots of research with the help of books and spend lots of time in library. Today we want every thing fast so as information. Internet helped us to get information quickly. Whatever we want just one click we get so many information. If internet will be restrict then how we will get information. Social networking sites like twitter, orkut and face book, what people come and say what they think about anything’s specially a major issue, they come and debate. Is should not be restrict in the content of sites because it will help to think on globally. Internet also is more about an entertainment. Any music released then youngster wants to download it first from everyone. Even movies are get download from internet. Its happens because spending so much money and going to theater if film is not good then it is waste of money. After seeing review then we go to watch movies. We have freedom of speech so if we speak over opinion though social networking site then what is wrong in it? Whatever happening in the world we know what happens in the world or in and around.
Government can’t do this because they also used internet as for promoting them self attracting young generation. If they will do this then there voter will not vote them. If internet will not there then work can not be happen everywhere everybody wants internet it is become a daily need. Even I can’t live without internet, any new thing I want to know so I need internet. Social networking site will not there then we will not connect with the world and get information. Some people like my sister, she like to learn new thing or try new things. She do shopping learn new recipe hair style fashion and spiritual knowledge she used internet for that. So how web sites can will be restricted. I don’t think it is a good idea to banned or restrict the content of internet especially social networking sites.

Changing face of indian cricket team...

India known as a land of tradition where people are live respectfully we should not show our anger by showing or doing anything which embarrass them. We have to handle it very carefully where others should not under estimate us and know there place. Same in cricket also where because of loosing match Ishan Sharma and Virat Kohli show "flipping bird" to audience and cricketers. It is not the way to show irritation you should show it in the room or share it with your close ones. It’s just not ok for them who are known as the cricket stars and playing since from long time have some respect towards that sport. Just because you are angry than do what you want and feel. Because of this incident it shows what kind of person you are. If you are loosing the match it’s just some where you are not good as they are you have to try hard to match their place better to show your nonsense behavior. When we are talking about young generation make us proud by doing some think but its not making proud them it’s just like insulting them and also family and that place where you are known from.
Young players should become as a history in cricket with there hard work by not showing such an aggression in field. Its not good thing to show there aggression with “flipping birds”. Its an direct insult for them u are legend in the cricket team like Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and many more Indian players, in there whole career they have also faced the failure but they never shown there aggression like this. Indian people give more respect to the cricket but after such thing that who will going to follow cricket? And what will be effect on them who are not in the children’s who follow the foot step of the cricketers?

Still looking for rest of missing women....

Once again we see that women are not safe in Mumbai the new data of Mumbai police tell. As par data many women and girls are lost. Total 1962 women including 481 girls in Mumbai are missing since last two years and there are no idea and sign of where they are missing. According to data, the number of missing is more then the found from last to years (2010 and 2011). 14558 persons were found by Mumbai police but still there is no report of 3967 persons. In which 1524 are males but 2443 are females.
Majority of female are lost but not yet found and anyone is not bother to find them. What women welfare society and police are doing to found them? Women and girls are not safe in the city. If police and NGO will not help them, then who will help? In India we have lady president Mrs. Pratibha Patil and over largest political party congress is headed by a lady Mrs. Soniya Gandhi. But then also women are not respected. Now also there is the gender discrimination in India because of that girls are not been care.
There is a different bureau to handle missing case. All missing case is registered and solved by this missing person bureau. But despite from different department there is good result of 3967persons. What happens to 3967persons no one knows it. In last to years this is the case, then what will be happen in this upcoming years.
